Signed/inscribed by author. He founded the Roycroft artisan community - an exponent of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Among his best known and most influential works is 'Little Journeys to the Homes of the Great.' His wife and he perished aboard Lucitania, when the ship was sunk by a German submarine in 1915.
