Crease to page 9/10 (a text page).Ottomar Starke (born 1886 in Darmstadt; died 1962 in Baden-Baden) was a German set designer , graphic artist, author and translator.Starke studied at the Royal School of Applied Arts in Munich with Maximilian Dasio, among others. He then worked as a set designer in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Mannheim and in 1912 was appointed head of equipment at the opera and theater in Frankfurt am Main. The First World War interrupted this activity and he turned to graphic work. For example, it appeared in the magazine Der Bildermann. Stone drawings for the German people published by Paul Cassirer in 1916 his lithographs on the subject of the new society. His lithographs were also used in the War Time series published by Alfred Gold. Artists' leaflets 1914-1916 . His illustrations can be found in many works of world literature.t.
