A scarce catalogue of a private collection of porcelains, with a good selection of Famille Verte & Biscuit wares as well as Blanc de Chine. Dr. Carlo Maria Franzero (1892-1986) was an Italian journalist and author who settled in England some 50 years before he sold his collection of 87 pieces to Bluett's in 1974. His first contact with Chinese porcelain was in 1921-1922 when visiting China. It was not until 1932 that he was in a position to start buying Chinese porcelain, first on the Caledonian market and shortly after from the major London dealers such as Bluett, Sparks, and Hancock.
