A very rare exhibition catalogue of 150 objects of famille verte and powder blue Chinese porcelain from the collection of Aaron Vecht held at C.F. Roos in Amsterdam from December 1914 to 1915. The catalogue is of particular interest for researching items in regard to provenance. Only 3 other copies found in libraries and historical archives. Aaron Vecht first estabilshed his antiques company Kunstzalen A. Vecht and specialised in ceramics, glass, Chinese and Japanese porcelain, 19th and 20th centurey paintings and drawings. C.F. Roos was one of the most famous auction houses of Amsterdam and was estabished in 1749. In 1911, C.F. Roos had the building De Roos designed and built on the Rokin in Amsterdam where they would stay until 1919 when the auction house was purchased by the brothers Mak, later known as the auction house Mak van Waay. Quite rare and a wonderful collectors item!.
