Die Kaffeemühle, nachgewiesen um 1700, ist keine geniale Erfindung, vielmehr das Kind einer langen Entwicklung und das Produkt vieler Erfahrungen. Sie wurde aus Kupfer, Messing, Holz und Eisen, Blech, Gußeisen und Glas hergestellt. Die Abbildungen aus drei Sammlungen zeigen die Vielfalt und auch die Wertschätzung, die dieses kleine Gerät von seinen Besitzern erfuhr.
