Uniformly bound in quarter red morocco with marbled boards, spines with raised bands, gilt lettered and patterned. Marbled endpapers, top edges gilt. Shelf-wear to edges with fraying and slight loss to some corners, raised bands rubbed but otherwise spines bright and tidy: still a handsome set. Viollet-le-Duc's great Dictionary of Medieval and Renaissance French Architecture, reflecting his Gothic inclination.
