Slight yellowing, last verso (dated 1826) minimally browned. Contemporary crushed brown morocco, marbled endpapers, raised bands, spine gilt-lettered, inner edges gilt, head of spine and corners a trifle rubbed. Inscription 'B. Pollock from F.M.P. Sept. 1892' to fly. The second edition of Horace's 'Works' from Pickering's 'Diamond Classics' series, dedicated to George John, 2nd Earl Spencer (1758-1834), renowned bibliophile, and exquisitely printed in diamond type by C.
