An elegantly bound copy of this important collection, first published in 1848, of the writings of major Latin poets, including Catullus, Tibullus, Virgil, Persius and Claudianus, and a 'Supplementum in Virgilium' with his 'Ciris', 'Catalecta' and 'Copa'. The author, William Sidney Walker (1795-1846), was professor of Greek at Trinity College, Cambridge, and an important classicist, as well as a Shakespearean critic.
