Titles in red and black, 1 full-page engraved plate to vol. 1. Slight toning or mainly marginal spotting, upper edge dusty, very minor offsetting from plates. Contemporary vellum over boards, double blind ruled, blind-stamped lozenge-shaped centrepiece to covers, raised bands, title inked to spine. A little soiled and rubbed. Handsome (if rather ruggedly so), large copy on thick, high-quality paper.
