Contemporary polished calf, double blind ruled, gilt-lettered morocco label to spine. Rebacked. First edition of the first comprehensive reference work on the English laws on sewers, encompassing sea banks, public streams and rivers, ditches and marsh grounds, and the authority of the Commissioners of Sewers as established by the Commissions of Sewers Act 1708.
