In 1856 and 1859 Francis Frith, an Englishman, traveled to Egypt, Syria and Palestine. During the 1859 trip he sailed 1500 miles up the Nile. Both times he carried his photographic equipment. Jane Williams visited the same areas in 1976 photographing the same sites as Frith. Uneven fading to front cover panel; back panel creased; head of spine bumped. Interior bright and clean. Very Good.
