Title: A comprehensive dissertation on the ancient and present state of Pontefract, in Yorkshire. Description: N.P., N.D. 17cm. [8]pp, text devices, illustrations and views. Bound into a copy of Gent's 'History of Ripon 1783', lacking the two rare woodcuts called for in the 'Journey into some parts of Yorkshire.' Later panelled calf gilt, raised bands, decorated in blind, marbled endpapers. Lacks spine label; later stamped perforations to foot of final leaf - not affecting text or image. Not in ESTC, COPAC, or Boyne.
