Description: Newcastle: printed and sold by T. Slack, [1774] 8vo in fours. 48pp, text tables. Modern marbled paper wraps, printed paper label to front wrap. An interesting election, whereby it was judged that the Duke of Northumberland attempted to manipulate proxy over both candidates. Delaval professed independence but was considered to be in the Duke's pocket. At the election Sir William Middleton won by 16 votes. ESTC: T43992.
