Hardcover. 288pp. Brown embossed boards, gilt spine lettering, engraved frontispiece plus 5 additional illustrations. Cover is soiled and heavily worn, spine faded but legible. Contents are stained and toned, and ocasionally foxed, some foredges nicked, bottom of frontispiece torn off with no loss of content. A previous owner has pasted a newspaper article and wrtten notes and remedies on endpapers. Despite these defects, the book is icomplete, and very readable. Fair/No Jacket.
