Description: [San Francisco]: , (n. d.). White card printed in black and orange ink. Black and white photographic reproduction of an image of Battery Street on a bright day. 3-7/8" x 8-7/8". A VG+ card. "Battery Street was thus named to commemorate the Battery erected at Clark's Point which was near the intersection of Broadway, shown in the distance. The Battery, constructed by Lieut. Misroon in 1846, consisted of five guns, i.e. two brass pieces from the old Spanish Fort, two from Sonoma and one brass twelve-pounder, dug up at the Presidio, where it had been buried.".
