Pale blue eps. xiv, [2], 91, [1 (blank)] pp. Photographic frontis of the ship. 51 b/w captioned images from photographs, on 13 inserted leaves [usually 2 per page]. Folding map with track listing underneath, inserted after p. 48. Chart of the 1936 China Fleet Pulling Regatta. 8-5/8" x 5-3/8". Average wear. Very slight lean with dull spine. Some age-toning to paper. A VG - VG+ copy. The Dorsetshire was a cruiser of 9000 tons which began her service in 1930. This China Station tour was her third commission, beginning April 1935, concluding March 1937, and which took her to numerous locations in the area, including, but not limited to Beppu, Miyajima, Kagoshima, Shanghai, Hankow, Tsingtao, Chemulpho, Dairen & Weihaiwei. At the time of cataloguing, OCLC records two holding institutions: Cornell & the Nat'l Maritime Museum [UK].
