General wear to binding, with old repair to spine. One proud gathering. 1843 poi [William Ward] to preliminary blank, and 1910 poi [noting purchase from Ward's estate] to rear paste-down. Foxing & staining throughout. Withal, an About VG copy. OCLC records just 5 holdings, with the listing having an undocumented note stating the first edition, of the same year, has an eratta leaf at rear. No Yale listing mentions such, American Imprints notes just the one entry & one has to wonder which came first- the blank leaf as here, or the erattum. In either case, a rare book on the subject.
