Letter to former owner from James Michener is pasted to last endpaper, SIGNED BY MICHENER, typed on his letterhead, and dated June 25, 1951. Michener thanks him (a Colonel Hunnell) for his comments, evidently on this book, and states that he, Michener, is indebted to Hunnell for them. Hunnell's bookplate is found on the first endpaper. This was Michener's third book, and the title refers to Tales of the South Pacific, his first. In this book Michener returns to the South Pacific with more tales. A unique copy of the first printing, signed by Michener. 8vo - 8" to 9" tall. Signed by Author. U2. Very Good+ with no dust jacket.
