Description: Haga Comitis illustrata, ter gelegenheid der installatie van W.C.H. Friso tot Stadtholder in May 1747. First and only edition, hardcover binding in reasonable condition. Bookblock broken therefore the first pages with engravings are loose. Its a complete copy. page 19/20 is missing a piece that has been cut out. Therefore a loose identical page is added, so it's a complete copy.Title page with red and black ink with woodcut arms of William IV. Dedicated to princess Carolina van Oranje-Nassau (1743-1787), de daughter of Willem IV and Anna van Hannover.16 pages with engravings in good condition, except for some small stains. Good contrast prints. Beautiful book commemorating the election and inauguration, in may of 1747 of William IV (Willem de Vierde, Willem Carel Hendrik Friso), Prince of Orange and Nassau, as Stadholder, Captain-Gerneral and Admiral of Holland and West Friesland.The engravings depict Orange minded images, triumphal arches erected upon William's return, coat of arms, emblems, devices and more.
