Chromolitho frontis., 8 wood-engraved plates, 3 folding maps, illustrations in text, xiv, 535pp. [actually approx. 600pp. as numbering after p.467 starts again at 390, issued thus], occasional light spotting/foxing mostly adjacent to plates and maps, marbled endpapers and edges, recent binding in 1/2 calf and marbled boards, spine with raised bands and original title label. The binding retains the original endpapers and the boards have old marble paper to match. Nice copy. Howgego 4.B9
