London, Sotheran, 1882. 36 chromolitho plates, many heightened with gold, with interleaved descriptions, +(8),32pp., folio, publisher's cloth gilt, some wear to tips and spine-ends, re-cased preserving original binding and endpapers. A nice crisp copy internally.. ¶ One of the last of the great chromolitho pattern books, the plates beautifully printed by Firmin-Didot. A colour chart shows the most suitable tints, the plates illustrate designs for walls, friezes, architectural features, &c.
