Contemporary spickled and brown blindstamped calf, spine worn along hinges, top spine damaged. Free endpaper lacking. Not in Vinograd. Lacrymae ('tears' i.c. poems) on the death of Mary Stuart II, wife of King William the Third, on 28th Dec. 1694, written by Thomas Browne and over hundred other Cambridge college members and alumni, most tears in Latin and English; but also several ones in Greek, French and Hebrew, the last by Tho. Bennett, and by Joshua Man of Christ College. Poetry - English. Bookplate of Thomas Brooke on first pastedown. Internally very good condition, binding with defects, but still attractive.
