Green cloth boards; lettering in gilt to spine, lettering and illustration stamped in gilt to top board; edges bevelled. Boards show wear, rubbed; chipping at head of volume I spine; corners bumped. From the Teachers' Library of the Ontario Institution for the Blind, with their bookplate to front paste-down of each volume; "In Memoriam" stamp to the dedication page of each volume. Frontispieces and front-blanks removed from each volume. Monochrome portrait plates present throughout the 3 volumes. Starting at front hinge of volumes II and III. With these blemishes duly noted, this remains a very presentable set. Each of the three volumes in this set has a lengthy appendix which contains historic charters, proclamations, laws, treaties, contracts and documents. Peel(3) 2184.
