First edition in French language. Lady Anne Isabella Blunt was the only child of Lord Byron. Her knowlegde of Arabic was profound; she was the first European woman to penetrate the Arabian Peninsula; this work covers her journey with her husband, Wilfred Scawen Blunt, to Najad. In 1879 she published her book 'Bedouin Tribes of the Euphrates'. With reading ribbon; blind stamped front-and backcover; ruststained in places (especially in the beginning and at the end); map browned. However a good copy.
