Initially working with abstract and Expressionist painters, Fontana began to break away towards a unique style of his own creation, spurring his several manifestos, including his own movement, Spatialism. These works varied from pioneering sculpture and light installations, to the instantly recognizable slash (Tagli) and holes (Buchi) pieces. Alongside these works, Fontana constantly worked on varying styles of tactile clay sculptures and graphic works. Condition good.
