Bi-lingual English / French edition printed in 1000 copies only. Antide Janvier, great clockmaker of the late 18th and early 19th century, died in extreme poverty and without descent. Knowing his work, we consider that he was possibly the greatest clockmaker of all time; an idea that is now slightly becoming more and more approved. After the first edition of this book, a result of several years of investigation released in 1995, a second edition became necessary to complete the list of his works due to the discoveries and indications of new clocks since then. As in the previous edition, all clocks are numbered and presented in a chronological order with a serial number attributed in accordance with the numbering system already started by Antide Janvier and arbitrarily completed.
