All edges marbled. = Uncommon first edition of "the first competent treatment of general geology in French" (see DSB), by the French geologist Jean Frtançois d'Aubuisson de Voisins (1769-1841). Covers rubbed; front cover of the binding of the first volume is slightly damaged (perhaps by two pellets). Old library stamp on titlepage of both volumes.
