Signed by the author in the top margin of the front wrapper. Stamp of Carte géologique d'taillée de la France on the rear blank; stamp "Don de Mr Michel-Levy" on the front wrapper. Auguste Michel-Lévy, (1844-1911) was a French mineralogist and petrologist, and one of the pioneers of microscopic geology and petrology. Rare. We have never seen another copy.
