Disbound. = A finely illustrated monograph of Carboniferous fish which includes new species, written by the British mayor, ichthyologist and palaeontologist James William Davis (1846-1893). Due to his sudden death, this was his 56th and last paper. Published in the Society's Transactions, Volume 14. Cocked at the spine due to being taken from a bound volume. Unmarked, clean. A very good copy of this rare work. Dean I., p. 301 (wrongly listing 1894 as year of publication).
