The author, the American ethnologist, and botanist William Tufts Brigham (1841-1926) was the first director of the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum. Uncut. With a small stamp on the front wrapper, library of R. Harry, and several pencilled marginalia. Spine cover gone, front wrapper detached, some minor damp-staining at the lower edge of the last few leaves. Otherwise a very good copy.
