Original uniform blue wrappers. = Complete volume of a very rare scientific periodical initiated and edited by the French naturalist Jean-Baptiste Geneviève Marcellin Bory de Saint-Vincent (1778-1846). Well-illustrated, with many hand-coloured plates. The finely illustrated works by Bory (commenting upon the work by Daudebard de Férussac on land slugs, and Richard on pennyworts), are among the most important monographs included. Plates XLVIII and XLIX bound in the rear, which is the proper place. Uncut, (thus) frayed and creased at fore-edges; spine split.
