Original printed wrappers bound in. = A well-bound set of very uncommon original copies (NOT the inferior 70's reprint) of this important monograph, published by the Bernice P. Bishop Museum (their Bulletins 158 (part 1), 165 (2), and 166 (3 and 4). Inscribed in the top margin of the wrappers by the American malacologist William James "Bill" Clench (1897-1984); and with a stamp of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020). Pagination and plate numbering is continuous. The inverted plate numbers 37 and 38 corrected, probably by Clench. A fine, spotless copy. Bound copies are rare.
