Uniform contemporary green calf over marbled boards Spines with gilt bands and title. Marbled endpapers. = A seldom-seen long run from the start of this well-illustrated Belgian botanical series. From volume six onwards, the name was changed from Bulletins to Bulletin. It includes the general index to the first 25 volumes (1862-1887) by Théophile Durand, listing subjects, authors, and species. Provenance: a small, printed label of the French botanist Jules Poisson (1833-1919) mounted on the front pastedowns. Volume 32 in original printed wrappers. All others - including the index - uniformly bound. The first volumes with some extensive shelf wear, especially at the corners; rear board of the sixth volume more damaged; the later volumes a bit less affected; scattered foxing, otherwise a very good set.
