Authors in this early volume include Cope (on American Batrachia), Haldeman, Tryon (much on molluscs, two plates), Gill (ichthyology, many papers, malacology), Isaac Lea, John Cassin (new birds), William Stimpson, and F. W. Lewis on diatoms with one plate. Uncut. Wrapper edges a bit soiled, frayed and or/chipped, as usual with uncut copies. A very good, complete volume. Rare.
