Title: Enchiridion botanicum exhibens classes et ordines plantarum accedit nomenclator generum et officinalium vel usualium indicatio.
Description: Lipsiae [Leipzig], W. Engelmann, 1841. 8vo (21.0 x 12.6 cm). xiv, 763 pp. Contemporary plain boards with paper label on spine. All edges red. = Early plant nomenclator and descriptive catalogue and as such both important as a source of plant names (taxa on of all supraspecific levels) and as in in-sight on plant-systematics in the 1840's. Written by the Austrian-Hungarian botanist Stephan Ladislaus (or István László) Endlicher (1804-1849). Former owner's name and a few small (cancelled) stamps on first blank, one small, old stamp on title page. With a printed list of book dealers, which is unusual. Several bookdealers report this leaf, which corresponds with pp. [i-ii] as missing. Boards a trifle worn, otherwise a very good copy of this uncommon book. Stafleu and Cowan, 1683.
