Light yellow endpapers. = Rare original edition of a well-illustrated work, mainly describing Cretaceous faunas, and in particular molluscs, including many that are new. The fine plates show generally well-preserved ammonites, as well as some gastropods. The author, Frank Marion Anderson (1863-1945) was an American palaeontologist and malacologist. This is one of his earlier and most important works. Stamp (cancelled) on front pastedown and title, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Modern reprints are no match.
