Original printed front wrapper. = Important list of fishes of Japan, 546 species were recorded in all, of which many observed in Japanese waters for the first time. Five species appeared to be entirely unknown and are here described as new. This includes one ray, Leiobatis (Trigon) nuda. Top outer corner slightly creased, rear wrapper missing; otherwise a very good, complete copy. Rare. Dean I, p. 138.
