Large 4to (32.1 x 24.3 cm). 136 pp.; four folded lithographed geological maps or profiles, one lithographed plate. Original printed wrappers. = Two papers on the same general geological region, combined. Cornuel's contribution deals with the region around Troyes, and Vazzy (Wassy), both in the Aube region, east of Paris; Leymerie's work with the Aube region in general. The plate shows fossil molluscs, including new species by J. Cornuel. This is the rare hand-coloured edition, with the maps and profiles finely coloured. Published in the society's Mémoires, volume 2. Uncut. Paper repair at the lower margin of the title page; text a bit foxed, the adjacent first plate with profiles as well, but not obtrusive, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
