Original printed wrappers. = Perhaps the first thorough review of the geology of Portugal, by the Swiss geologist [Léon] Paul Choffat (1849-1919). This is an offprint from "Le portugal au point vue agricole" Inscribed by Choffat (dedication to 'Monsieur Vélain') and with his stamp "Hommage de l'auteur" on the front wrapper, along an early 20th century blindstamp. Vélain probably is the French geologist geographer, and volcanologist Charles Vélain (1845-1925). Wrapper edges a bit frayed and with a few small chips, otherwise a very good copy.
