Description: Calcutta, The Asiatic Society of Bengal, 1906. Folio (31.2 x 24.5 cm). 40 pp.; three plates (two engraved, one partly coloured), loosely inserted printed index slip. Original printed wrappers. = The herpetological part, by the Scottish zoologist and Director of the Zoological Survey of India, Nelson Annandale (1874-1924) is the largest, with eight new species level taxa (as noted on the index slip), one engraved plate and one in photogravure. The insect section is smaller, with one plate (partly coloured), the mammals part, by R. C. Wroughton, is merely a list. Published in the Society's Memoirs I(10). Small cancelled stamp on the front wrapper, light creasing to wrapper edges, otherwise a fine, clean copy. Rare.
