Spine with five raised bands and gilt title. Marbled endpapers. Speckled edges. = A fine monograph and the author's thesis. Apparently also published in the Annales des Sciences naturelles, series 8 (Zoologie IX), but this is the separately (and probably earlier) published edition, signed by the author. In 1970, Fenner A. Chace and Jacques Forest published a biography and bibliography of their fellow-carcinologist, Henri Coutière (1869-1952), and included a table of contents and index to Les "Alpheidae", which were dearly missed in the original work but which are included here as offprint from the Bulletin du Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle 2(41)(8), in its printed wrappers. The spine of Coutière's work rather sunned and a bit worn, otherwise a very good copy. Rare. Not in Nissen ZBI.
