Original printed front wrapper bound in. = Rare and important textbook in a complete state by the German botanist Gottlieb Wilhelm Bischoff (1797-1854), who was professor at the University of Heidelberg. It includes the Anhang, "Die botanische Kunstsprache in Form eines Wörterbuches", which seems to be the rarest part. A complete collation, missing in Nissen, is as follows. Erster Band. As usual a bit foxed in the text and the first three plates (in the margins). Two old private owner's stamp (both Danish) on the first blank, one repeated on text volume titles and rear free endpaper verso. Two old stamps on atlas title page verso (recto clean).
