Description: Annay sur Serein, and Paris, 1832. Two letters (Latreille: 25.2 x 18.7 cm; Cuvier: 26.1 x 19.4 cm), each on one sheet. In 20th century cloth portfolio. = Two letters, both on (different) wove paper, and both well-readable. Addressed to to the first secretary of the Société Entomologique de France, Alexandre Lebfèvre, dated 26 February (Cuvier) and 28 May (Latreille) 1832. The Cuvier letter, sent from the Jardin des Plantes, relates to his being a honorary member of this society. The Latreille letter, sent from the hamlet Annay sur Serein (Yonne) deals with the "tribu des Elaterides". The Cuvier letter lacks a part of the top margin, not affecting the text. otherwise very good, clean.
