Tall 4to (33.0 x 22.0 cm; text volume a bit larger). 135 pp., four folding tabless, 32 fine photographic plates printed by Werner and Winter in Frankfurt. Original printed wrappers (text); later green cloth with gilt title on the spine (atlas). = Rare monograph from the Boletin del Instituto Geologico de Mexico. The fine plates show ammonites and other cephalopods. One plate, with a view of the area has inadvertently been cut by the bookbinder, however without loss. The title of the atlas is added in photostat and the first explanation restored with tape (now brownish). The text volume has the wrappers slightly chipped at the top edge and partly split at the spine; internally, however, very good, unmarked.
