Original blind quarter cloth over printed boards. = Reinhard Anton Brauns (1861-1937) was one of the most influential German mineralogists, and professor of mineralogy and petrography at the universities of Karlsruhe and - later - Bonn, and an honorary life fellow of the Mineralogical Society of America. He also published his influential "Mineralreich" in 1903. This work contains many fine microscope photos of volcanic and metamorphic minerals. Published "...mit Unterstützung der Rheinischen Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Forschung.". Dedication to Edward von Roy on the front free endpaper. Some red and yellow markings on a few text pages, otherwise in very good copy, with clean plates.
