Yellow endpapers. = Rare and early geological guide to this volcanic part of the Eifel mountains in Germany. The author, the German geologist Ernst Heinrich Karl von Dechen (1800- 1889) wrote several local geological guides, in particular about the geologically highly interesting southwestern part of Germany and adjacent areas. This is one of the rarest. Publisher's list with other geological titles (by Von Dechen, Goldfuss, Göppert, Nees von Esenbeck, and others) bound in the rear. Spine chipped, front board detached, slight dampstaining and spotting to the outer margins, mall stamp from the famous Molengraaff collection. A good copy.
