Gilt title on the spines. = An important, well-illustrated monograph by this famous Belgian zoologist and palaeontologist. The work contains new species and in-depth descriptions of others. It is one of a series of contributions to marine Belgian fauna (southern North Sea) by Van Beneden. Other parts deal with Cnidaria, crustaceans, etc. Back panel detached, spine ends chipped, otherwise for the interior a very good copy with clean plates.
