Author: Anonymous Title: Poetry of the Anti-Jacobin
Description: London, J Wright, 1800. Leather. A second edition of the Poetry of the Anti-Jacobin, in a leather binding. The Anti-Jacobin was a weekly English newspaper founded in 1797 in opposition to what was seen as the radicalism of the French Revolution. Many of the poems found in this collection are humourous in nature; strongly satirising the state of affairs both abroad and at home. Direct from the Regency library of Elizabeth Greenly, later Lady Elizabeth Coffin Greenly. Elizabeth Greenly, born at Titley Court, Herefordshire, was a noted and varied collector.
