'Exhibiting to the minds of youth a variety of instructive and pleasing information, adapted to the capacities of young people of both sexes; on a plan nearly similar to that or Dr Henry' John Adams was a Scottish compiler of books for young readers. A minister of the Scotch church in Hatton Garden, Adams wrote numerous works which passed through many editions. In a full calf binding. Externally rubbed with wear to the extremities. Front hinge is tender. With previous owners ink inscription to the endpapers and title page, dated 1816. Internally, generally firmly bound though strained in places. Pages age toned with occasional spots and handling marks. Tidemarks to first few pages. Good Only . Ill.: Unamed. Good Only .
