Description: London, Richard Ware, 1709. Leather. A lovely book of common prayer dating from the early eighteenth-century. 'The Liturgy of the Church of England&apos. With an additional engraved title and fifty-five dramatic plates featuring historical cuts throughout, collate complete. Together with the psalter or psalms of David, pointed as they are to be sung or said in churches. Printed by Charles Bill, and the executrix of Thomas Newcomb, deceased; printers to the Queens most excellent majesty&apos. 'Printed for and sold by Richard Ware at Bible and Sun at the lower end of Paternoster Row in Amen Corner&apos. An authentic and important book. In a full leather binding. Externally, worn with loss. The joints are starting. Internally, the binding is tender, with several leaves working slightly loose at the lower edge. The pages are age-toned but generally clean, with a little scattered spotting. The majority of the plates are brighter and cleaner. There is a small ink inscription to the verso of the last page.
